Reviewer Guidelines

The International Journal of Advances in Physical and Chemical Sciences (IJAPC) follows a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the publication of original, high-quality, and academically significant research. Reviewers play a crucial role in maintaining the scholarly integrity, ethical standards, and academic credibility of the journal.

Reviewers are expected to evaluate manuscripts objectively, fairly, professionally, and confidentially while providing constructive feedback that assists editors in editorial decision-making and helps authors improve the quality of their work.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Maintain complete confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts and related materials.

  • Conduct reviews objectively, impartially, and without personal bias.

  • Provide clear, constructive, and academically relevant comments and suggestions.

  • Evaluate manuscripts within the assigned review timeline and promptly notify the editorial office if delays occur.

  • Declare any personal, institutional, professional, or financial conflict of interest that may affect the review process.

  • Identify possible ethical concerns including plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, copyright infringement, or unethical research practices.

  • Refrain from using unpublished material from submitted manuscripts for personal research or professional advantage.

The journal strictly follows a review system in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process.

Assessment Criteria

Reviewers should assess manuscripts on the basis of the following criteria:

  • Originality, novelty, and academic contribution of the research.

  • Relevance of the manuscript to the scope and objectives of the journal.

  • Clarity and significance of the research problem, objectives, and arguments.

  • Adequacy of literature review and theoretical framework.

Reviewer Recommendations

After completing the evaluation, reviewers may recommend one of the following decisions:

  • Accept: The manuscript is suitable for publication with minimal or no revisions.

  • Minor Revision: The manuscript requires limited corrections or clarifications before publication.

  • Major Revision: Substantial revisions are necessary regarding methodology, analysis, structure, or presentation. The revised manuscript may undergo further review.

  • Reject: The manuscript does not meet the journal’s academic, ethical, or quality standards for publication.

Reviewer recommendations are advisory in nature, and the final decision regarding publication rests with the Editorial Board and Editor-in-Chief.

Reviewers must not upload confidential manuscripts or unpublished research data to public artificial intelligence (AI) platforms or external systems without prior editorial authorization.
